Here's a random selection of screenshots from Sandy MacRae's Introduction to Statistics, the friendliest, most enjoyable statistics course you've ever seen. It's a complete and authoritative foundation course on CD that can run interactively at the student's own pace or can have any of its explanations bookmarked by a tutor to show to a whole class with a projector. It has animated cartoon graphics, self-test questions and an optional voice commentary. Guidance to where you are in the program is given in various ways. The title in the top right of each screen identifies the particular subsection you are viewing. In the top left of the screen, a list develops as you make menu choices and shows the path by which you reached the current screen. By clicking on any of these titles, you can backtrack as far as you like. Each of the eight sections has its own background colour and a subdued echo of the section number. |
